How many times have you or someone in your family talked about getting old home movies preserved on DVD? All that outdated media - 8mm film reels, camcorder tapes, VHS cassettes - tends to just sit in the attic, and sometimes even decays or gets destroyed, and there's no way to get it back! We're excited to say that Prelude Photography has teamed up with local company Viewpoint Media to help you transfer YOUR media to DVD!

Media transfer not only ensures that you can easily back up and digitally preserve those irreplaceable old movies, but also allows you to watch them whenever you want on contemporary media players such as DVD players, computers, and even gaming consoles like the XBox 360 and PS3!

Check out the price card on our new MEDIA TRANSFER page... transfer is totally affordable (although who could put a price on those memories?!), and your tapes/film are NOT mailed out of state or even out of town. All media is hand-delivered to Viewpoint Media to ensure that your film reels or tapes are as protected as possible. Nothing will get lost or damaged in the mail this way!

So dig those old reels out of their boxes, grab those camcorder tapes and VHS cassettes off the shelves, and let Prelude - and Viewpoint Media - help you to create a permanent, secure DVD archive!

I'm SO getting in on this! :p

First of all, the biggest reason we've been busy is we have opened a NEW SECOND LOCATION at SouthPark Mall in Strongsville, located right across from the Kids' Play Area! WEST SIDERS REJOICE! We're very excited to add SouthPark Mall to the Prelude family. Come and visit the new space during mall hours, and if you want to make an appointment at the SouthPark studio, call 440.878.9000!

ALSO, our WEDDING SHOWCASE at the Great Lakes Mall location has EXPANDED! We have added THREE new vendors to our happy group: Plant Magic Florist, Cutting Edge Limosine, and Jenniffer & Co. Salon & Spa. We're thrilled to have them on board, and had a great time yesterday at our first ten-vendor consult night!

And don't forget, to view the TRAIN CONTEST WINNERS, visit the Western Reserve Model Railroad Museum website HERE: http://www.wrmrrm.org. They have posted some great pics of their winner's display!

We're always growing and changing over here... if any of you have any ideas you'd like us to consider or any testimonials you'd like to offer, shoot us an email. :)

Happy Thursday, and we'll be talking to ya soon!

Despite the scattered showers and the limo's flat tire (!), their energy and excitement carried the event with that special magic that can only happen on a wedding day. Talk about a charismatic bride and groom - smiles and mushy stuff all over the place! :)

These are the couples we have the most fun with; the ones who are having fun themselves, dancing, talking to their guests, and truly enjoying one another and their wedding day. We love the couples who can go from silly to sentimental in a second... because that's how we are. We love the goofy stuff, but we're suckers for that whole "Your life has changed for good now because you've found The One" type stuff, too. (You know it's true, Matt, don't try to act like it's all me being sappy during the first dances. Or the father-daughter dances. Or the mother-son dances... :p)

We wish them well on their honeymoon and beyond, and look forward to getting started on their wedding album!

Cory

Flights of Fancy

Some of my favorite shoots are when little kids come in with big personalities and ideas. Costumes, special props and unique backgrounds really add extra personality to our portraits... and we're all about personality here at Prelude!

For example, we have tons of costume pieces, hats, glasses, numbers for birthdays, boas... a train, a tricycle, giant crayons... and people might bring in fairy wings (see above!), special blankets we can use as props or backgrounds, mini instruments or special toys... and that extra effort can really add that special touch to a session.

So don't be afraid to ask about bringing something in, or ask what kind of goodies we have in the back... we'll be as creative as you'll let us!

The best part of having all of these photographs for me as a mother really shows itself when things get rough. When I need to be reminded of life's joy and humor and togetherness, a photo of my small but incredible family will bring a smile to my face and help me to get to the next joyful moment. Which I will undoubtedly take a picture of. :)

So here's to photography, here's to family, here's to living, loving and creating, and documenting the journey along the way!

Cory

Happy Spring!

Happy Spring, everybody!

It's crazy, now that I'm only here once a week (since I'm taking some time to be a Mommy at home with Vi), I miss so much; and I LOVE checking out all the pics I missed while I was gone for the week, like the one at the top of this post... the looks on their faces are just priceless!

One thing I DO know is that our bunny pics were a huge success this year... thanks to everyone who came out for their Easter and Spring pictures. We had a great time playing with the kids and frolicking around the studio. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Check ya later... I'm going home to play with the babe!
